Your first rave — the complete experience guide
Your first rave — the complete experience guide
Someone just gifted you tickets to the Scooter Halloween Rave Party. Or maybe you bought them yourself after a surge of courage. Either way — you're going to your first rave, and you have questions. We've got answers.
What IS a rave, exactly?
A rave is a large-scale electronic music event focused on dancing, community and immersive experiences. Think: loud music, laser shows, smoke machines, UV lights, thousands of people dancing together. Read our detailed rave beginner's guide for the full picture.
The Scooter Halloween Rave Party — perfect first rave
Why? Because it's:
- Accessible — Scooter plays recognizable, catchy music (not obscure techno)
- Themed — Halloween adds a layer of fun with costumes and decorations
- Well-organized — Ergo Arena is a professional venue with security, medics, bars and comfort
- Multi-act — different artists throughout the night means varied music
- Known capacity — 11,000 people is big but manageable

First-timer survival tips
- Don't fight for the front — the middle has the best sound and more space
- Wear comfortable shoes — you'll be on your feet for 6+ hours
- Take breaks — step to the side, grab water, breathe
- Earplugs are NOT optional — 100+ dB can damage hearing permanently
- Set a meeting point with your group in case you get separated
- Don't hold your phone up the whole time — live the experience
- Dance however you want — nobody is watching you, everyone is in their own world
- Smile — the energy is contagious, let it in
"What if I don't like it?"
You will. The combination of bass you feel in your chest, lights cutting through darkness, collective energy of 11,000 people, and the sheer joy of Scooter's music is overwhelming in the best way. Even people who "don't dance" find themselves moving.
After the rave
- Your ears will ring slightly (less with earplugs)
- Your legs will ache (you just danced for hours)
- Your voice will be hoarse (you screamed every chorus)
- Your face will hurt from smiling
- You'll immediately want to do it again
